Happy Fourth of July! As we were heading out of the marina, we saw this beautiful bird perched up on a buoy, looking for its next meal.

Orca spouts a puff of "smoke." At one point, the Captain turned on the speakers for us to hear the Orcas communicating with high-pitched sounds. The unique dorsal fin markings are used to identify each individual orcas.

Before heading back to shore, we made our final stop at this beautiful cove of waterfalls located at the end of the Harrison Bay.

The mile 0 marker of the Iditarod Trail. "This trail connecting Seward and Nome had its origin in the trails first established by Native Americans and Russians on the Kenai Peninsula and the Interior."

The day after the Fourth, the town was empty, and the remaining visitors camped out along the Resurrection Bay. Those peaks are part of the Chugach National Forest.

A pit stop along the Seward Highway on our way back into Anchorage. 125 miles of beautiful scenic drive.

We had an open day and went for a drive around the Fort Abercrombie State Park. A small trail led to this cliff's edge. Nobody was around, just the wind and the ocean. Taken with iPhone SE.
